Here in Texas at Riceland Waterfowl Club we cover 5 counties. From North Eagle Lake, to South by Bay City and just about everywhere in-between. All of our hunting locations (100%), are on managed farm lands of rice, soybean, corn, crawfish farms, rye grass, winter wheat and other assorted crops. Riceland Waterfowl Club holds the exclusive hunting rights to these properties for our seasonal lease members This allows us complete control over property and waterfowl management. Riceland Waterfowl Club is a little different than other duck hunting clubs as to the property and the water availability on our hunting land. All our land has either 6" -14" water pipe outputs on the deep water wells on each property. This is to insure we will have water when other seasonal or hunting clubs don’t. These water wells and the amount of water they can produce, allows us to pump water in our duck ponds, duck hunting water flats and roost ponds that hold 10,000’s of geese and ducks alike.
The land we lease has long established roosts and grain fields that have been used by waterfowl almost daily year after year for more than the 20 years we have hunted them. Why lease land waterfowl only used one or twice a year? For it’s not the number of acres but the quality of acres, the abundant number of duck blinds, and water in your seasonal club. We do not have to hunt all of our duck blinds or goose land every day to assure us of rested birds. For nothing draws waterfowl to a spot like other waterfowl. We also provide all members with satellite maps showing property boundaries, roads, water, blinds and parking areas (in color) for easy navigation.
Blinds
We care about keeping our seasonal lease members happy and coming back year after year. This is why our blinds are built and positioned to conceal and keep your hunting group dry and comfortable. There’s nothing like keeping your feet and hunting gear out of the cold muddy water. Most blinds you can access in normal hunting footwear. Only the person putting out and picking up the duck decoys needs hip boots or waders. This is great when hunting with younger or more seasonal hunters alike. There are also about 5 to 6 dozen seasonal club duck decoys at about 17 blinds to make it less for our seasonal members to transport and handle.
